The SBA has announced up to $50 million in grant awards for as many as 10 eligible applicant organizations that can provide training and technical assistance to small manufacturers.

This is directly tied to the broader push to rebuild American industrial capacity, strengthen domestic supply chains, and help small manufacturers compete in a changing economy.

Eligible organizations may have an opportunity to support manufacturers with:
• Business training
• Technical assistance
• Capital readiness
• Operational support
• Supply chain development
• Growth planning

Deadline: June 15 at 11:59 p.m. EDT

Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov.
For nonprofits, economic development organizations, technical assistance providers, manufacturing support organizations, and regional partners, this could be a major opportunity to build capacity and serve small manufacturers in a meaningful way.

This program supports practical, community-based agricultural initiatives such as:

  • Small-scale gardening
  • Herding and livestock operations
  • Local food production
  • Community food security initiatives

Eligible state and territorial agricultural agencies may apply for funding and then competitively distribute subawards to local projects and organizations.

This opportunity is especially significant for island, remote, and food-import-dependent communities where local food production is more than agriculture. It is resilience, stability, and long-term community sustainability.

Eligible areas include:

  • Alaska
  • Hawaii
  • Puerto Rico
  • Guam
  • American Samoa
  • Northern Mariana Islands
  • Micronesia
  • Marshall Islands
  • Palau
  • U.S. Virgin Islands

If you are working in food security, local agriculture, or community resilience within these regions, now is the time to connect with your state or territorial department of agriculture to explore upcoming opportunities.
